Reporting requirements for RTOs
Client Qualifications Register (CQR)
RTOs are required to notify the Department within 30 days of any AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued. The CQR has been developed to enable RTOs to record details of nationally recognised qualifications that they have issued to students under the authority of the Training and Skills Commission (
www.tasc.sa.gov.au/) For further information go to the CQR section of the website or contact Quality Directorate on (08) 8226 3065.
AVETMISS Reporting
National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER): collects Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS) data to publish statistical information about VET providers, programs, students, and apprentices and trainees within Australia. As part of every funding agreement with DFEEST, RTOs are obligated to submit AVETMISS data. Visit AVETMISS Reporting section of this website or can find out more about this process and other services provided by NCVER at their website.
Student Training & Enrolment Logistics Application (STELA)
STELA has been introduced by DFEEST for the 2007 AVETMISS reporting year which will replace the previous Provider Reporting System (PRS). The release of STELA coincides with the release of the new AVETMIS Standard 6.
More information about STELA.
Financial Management
Revenue SA and the
Australian Taxation Office (ATO) can provide information on state and national taxes and details about the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and how it may impact on and RTOs business.
Quality Indicators
The Competency Completion Online System (CCOS) supports the collection and reporting of data for the AQTF Competency Completion Quality Indicator.
From Friday 1 May 2009 the CCOS will be opened for 2008 data entry and reporting. You need to use CCOS to enter your data and prepare a report for your Registering Body on your RTO’s training activity in calendar year 2008.
Note that you do not need to enter your data into CCOS if you already provide AVETMISS data on all of your RTO’s training activity. However, you still have to prepare a report for your Registering Body.
It is a condition of registration that you submit your report to your Registering Body by Wednesday 1 July 2009.
To access CCOS you will first need to type in the Day2Day contact email as listed on the National Training Information Service (NTIS) (see: http://www.ntis.gov.au/?rto/all to check your registered email address), then click the ‘Forgotten Password’ button. An email containing your password will be sent to this registered email to allow you to securely access CCOS. If the email address that you entered is not a registered email address, an error message will appear.
Please refer to Quality Indicators Reporting (.DOC, 37KB) to confirm details on how you should supply your report.
Information on the CCOS can be obtained from: www.acer.edu.au/aqtf/completionqi.html.
For further assistance contact NCVER on 08 8230 8468 or email aqtf2007@ncver.edu.au.
Please visit www.acer.edu.au/aqtf for general information on the AQTF Quality Indicators.
